Before I answer that, I should tell you that I fit in the latter category. That being said
Use an agent with a team!
Why?
Today, selling a home is so much more complicated than it used to be. There are so many different skill sets required: selling, marketing, photography, copywriting, understanding contracts, negotiating, paperwork, managing the process, and more. And it takes so much more time, more than any one person has.
The end result is a good team will take care of you more than virtually any lone wolf jack-of-all-trades agent could.
Caution: Make sure the person and team you hire will still give you personal service. You dont want to be just a number and get lost in the shuffle. I always make it a point to call my clients at least once per week to be sure Im giving that personal service.
I think this is beginning to sound too much like a commercial for me, so Ill quit while Im ahead. But that answer should help you
