Yes, this is theoretically possible, but the challenge is having all these things happen at once:
1. You like someone’s home enough to buy it, you can afford it, and you both agree on a price.
2. Of the thousands of San Diego homes for sale, that homeseller wants to buy a home, likes your home enough to buy it, can afford it, and you both agree on a price.
The reality is that this is EXTREMELY rare. I’ve heard stories of it happening, but have never seen it happen in my 27 years in real estate.
