Question:
“Hi Gary. The last time I got a loan, I didn’t read the papers because there was just too much to read. Are there certain documents in the big stack of papers you recommend I be sure to read?”
Answer:
You should read every single loan document you sign. But who really reads a one-inch stack of loan documents?
So if you were to only read one document, definitely read the “note,” also called the “trust deed note.”
(Just to confuse you, there’s a different document called the “trust deed”, but that’s not the one I’m talking about.)
This important form is the actual “IOU” and details the main terms of your loan.
