Question:
“We have an alarm on our home and want to keep it on when we’re not at home.”
Answer:
Do you like to annoy your neighbors? Do you enjoy frequent visits from the police? Do you like paying fines for excessive false alarms?
If so, go right ahead and set your alarm.
What I’m saying with humor (I hope) is that agents are seriously alarm-challenged. Even with the simplest alarm, the odds are approaching 100% that your alarm would be set off one or more times while your home is for sale.
It’s fine to set it when you’re home. But not when you leave and your home could be shown.
