Answer:
Yes, that’s normal.
Until the sale closes escrow, it could always fall through and the house would go back on the market.
And if the agent had revealed what price the seller accepted, that would hurt the seller’s negotiation position and do the seller a great disservice.
Imagine they were asking $1,000,000, but the agent revealed the seller accepted $900,000. That would be great for you as the buyer to know, but not so great for the seller.
