Answer:
There are a range of opinions about the “BBB.”
Some say it’s a fine consumer protection organization that provides a great service. Others say it’s really just a for-profit business that charges businesses to be listed.
Some say it’s a relevant and useful today. Others say it’s no longer relevant, given sites like Yelp, etc.
I’m not going to take a position.
But let’s just say that many fine businesses and professionals are members of the BBB and many are not. So I would definitely NOT limit your choices to BBB members.
