Avoid Pricing Based on Need or Greed
Veteran San Diego Realtor Gary Kent reveals the costly mistakes people that make when selling a San Diego home. Blunder #4 is pricing your home based on how much you need or want to get.
When selling your San Diego home, it’s tempting to base your home price on your personal financial needs or wishes. Sadly, not many buyers will be sympathetic to your point of view. Remember, as much as you want a high price on your home, every buyer out there is trying to look for the best deal. When people base their pricing off of wishful thinking instead of hard data and market trends, they risk alienating buyers and getting even less money for their home–if it even sells at all. That’s why you shouldn’t be pricing based on need or greed.
