Answer:
The first thing you need to do is start working with a good, active, experienced agent.
I’m guessing you haven’t done so yet because you don’t want to feel obligated to an agent and/or haven’t found one you like.
Most agents only look in the MLS (“multiple listing service,” or Realtor database of homes for sale).
But my team and I have eight sources of homes not on the market, some that other agents overlook and others that few even know about. And we will tap those sources for our loyal clients.
