Buying a San Diego home? Search all homes for sale
Today we are here to answer a question we’ve been getting a lot lately, “Can I sell my home as-is?” When people ask this question, they are really asking two questions. “Can I sell my home as-is?” is one, but the other is “Should I sell my home as-is?”
If you put the fact you are selling the home as-is in the marketing, it can cause buyers to wonder if there is something really wrong with the home, and that’s why you are selling it as-is. If you put it in the contract, either the buyer is just going to ignore it and get an inspection done anyway, or they will agree to take it as-is, only to ask you to make repairs at a later time.
So, can you sell your home as-is? Yes. Should you? Due to the fact that as-is homes are so difficult to sell, and buyers are going to expect you to make some repairs no matter what, selling as-is is not a great idea. We can fight and negotiate for you in terms and price, but selling a home as-is without any compromises is often too hard to do.
