Most duplexes are marketed as “show with offer.” So buyers make offers without going inside, contingent on approving the interior. If they don’t like it, they can cancel their offer, even if it’s been accepted.
Obviously, the increased exposure of getting more people inside a property leads to more interest, more offers, and a higher price.
So if the tenants are cooperative, it’s better for you to have showings by appointment or via a lockbox.
