Buying a San Diego home? Search all homes for sale
Getting your home ready for sale doesn’t have to be a drawn out, expensive process. Below I’ve shared the top 10 least expensive things that you can do to your home to help it sell for top dollar.
- Cleaning. It’s the most cost-effective thing you can do to prepare your home for sale.
- Declutter. A cluttered house feels tight and small. Get rid of all the clutter in your home, including decorations and other personal items to make the space feel bigger.
- Depersonalize. You want a buyer to walk into your home and imagine themselves living in it. Take down any family pictures or personal touches to make the home neutral.
- Spruce up your yard by raking leaves, cutting grass, and making everything look inviting.
- Add flowers. The more flowers and colors you have, the better your curb appeal will be.
- Pay attention to the front porch. Roll the welcome mat out and clear away any storage.
- Paint the front door.
- Switch to 100-watt or LED lights to keep things light and bright.
- Get rid of pet odors. We love pets, but they don’t help sell the home, especially when they leave odors behind.
- Invite me by. I would love to come by, take a look at your home personally, and give you a free custom list of recommendations on how to sell your home for the highest amount possible.
Those are my top 10 cheap fix ups, which will help you sell your home faster and for more money. If you have any questions for me, or want me to come by your home and give you some recommendations, don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email. I look forward to hearing from you!
