Buying a San Diego home? Search all homes for sale
A long time ago in real estate, there was a broker and individual agents. The broker owned the office and would direct the agents. It was sort of like a team structure, but it didn’t work very well.
After a while, the industry evolved into one consisting of individual agents. You, the buyer or seller, would work with one person, the agent, who would try to do every part of the transaction for you. Eventually, this model stopped working as well.
In recent years, the real estate industry has gotten a whole lot more complicated. The technology and the contracts involved are just too much for any single person to be able to handle. Nowadays, most of the best agents have decided that a team model is the best way to tackle real estate transactions. Teams tend to give superior service because there are so many skillsets working toward the same goal.
On my team, I have a handful of people who are very good at handling the paperwork involved when a home is bought or sold. I also have agents working underneath me, some who represent home buyers and others who represent home sellers. There is also a transaction manager of the team who handles all the minor aspects of your real estate transaction.
A team model is the best model because it allows for there to be experts available who work on every phase of your sale. You’re not lost in a shuffle — you’re cared for by a group of people who can get the job done quicker and with better service than anyone else!
