Welcome to another edition of Story Time With Gary! This story is a little funny but it’s also a little sad, so I just want you to know that up front.
A while ago, one of my agents was holding an open house. Some people came through, looked at the home, and left.
Then a homeless fellow came in and laid down on the couch.
He had no interest in leaving; he was quite happy to stay right there. My agent tried to ask him if he would go somewhere else, and he said, “No. I’m waiting for the mothership.”
“My agent immediately knew that there were other issues with this unfortunate fellow.”
My agent immediately knew that there were some other things going on with this unfortunate fellow. She finally came up with this: “Sir, I just got a message that the mothership is coming to pick you up at the gas station around the corner.”
He said, “Oh, really?” And he left right away.
So, my agent was able to take care of her open house. Now, this is a sad story, but my agent’s solution was a little funny; nevertheless, that did happen.
