Buying a San Diego home? Search all homes for sale
About 10 years ago, I was talking to someone about a house that he had inherited. When he mentioned that he wanted to sell it, he said, “I’m probably going to use my barber to sell it.”
When I asked him to clarify, he said that his barber had a real estate license and that he had agreed to sell the home.
The advice I have for you is to hire an agent who has made real estate their sole focus, not someone who claims to just do it on the side. This means that you should not hire your barber, a lender, or a property manager. Most lenders and property managers have their own real estate licenses, but that does not mean that they are qualified to sell your home.
“Choose someone who is a full-time agent.”
It goes the other way, too. You wouldn’t expect me to write up loan paperwork or manage your property either. You want to choose someone who is a full-time agent, whose specialty is in real estate.
If you have any questions or you’re looking to buy or sell a home, give me a call or shoot me an email. I look forward to speaking with you!
