Buying a San Diego home? Search all homes for sale
Today I have another strange or weird story from my years working in real estate.
This week’s story is a pretty short story, but it’s going back several years. A gentleman called me about selling his home. But, when I arrived, no one answered the door. He had mentioned on the phone earlier that he was speaking with another agent as well, but I didn’t think anything of it. I heard some rustling in the backyard and, thinking he was gardening, walked around the back.
“I guess I just wasn’t hot tub material.”
When I walked into the backyard, I was surprised to find him relaxing in the hot tub with another real estate agent who I know. I don’t remember if I engaged the pair, but I certainly turned right back around and left. I heard later that he ended up hiring her. I guess I just wasn’t hot tub material.
Fortunately, most people that I interview with don’t conduct the interview in their hot tubs, so I generally end up working with most of the clients that I interview with. If you have any real estate questions or you’d like to speak with me about buying or selling a home, please give me a call. I’d be happy to help!
Gary, Really enjoy your stories. By any chance, did you used to work for Chula Vista Parks & Rec right after college?
Hi Lili, Thanks for the kind words. No, I didn’t work for Chula Vista Parks & Rec…
Hi Gary! Suzie Munson here. I just discovered your story times. Binge watched. Enjoyed!
Thanks, Suzie!
