Have you ever had one of those moments where you just think to yourself, “Awkward!”? Well, today’s story is about one of those moments.
A very nice couple called me out to sell one of their townhomes. We walked through—it was a very nice home, but there was something about it that needed to be taken care of.
We sat down at the table, and someone asked if there was anything that needed to be done. I said, “Well the one thing I would recommend you do is to shampoo the carpets to get rid of the pet odor.”
Their response: “We’ve never owned a pet.”
It didn’t end well; they didn’t end up hiring me to sell their home, probably because of my unwanted piece of advice.
