Buying a San Diego home? Search all homes for sale
It has come to my attention that a lot of people, home sellers in particular, are under the impression that most homes are held open most weekends. That idea is nothing other than a myth.
In fact, the average home is held open about one and a half times. Some homeowners hire me and think that we will hold an open house every weekend their home is on the market. That’s not how the process works and that’s not what gets homes sold. In fact, only 2% of homes sell from open houses.
This is also important to know if you’re buying a home. If you want to see a home, don’t wait for it to be held open. You might just end up watching the home sell before your eyes. The thing to do is give your agent a call to get them to show you the house at your convenience.
“Open houses really aren’t that important.”
If you are thinking about buying or selling a home in San Diego, don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
