My career in real estate had an interesting start. I was actually trying to make it as a stockbroker when it happened.

“How did you get into real estate?” I hear this question a lot from clients, so I wanted to answer it today once and for all. It’s actually a pretty interesting story.
I graduated from UCLA in 1983, got married, and moved down to San Diego. I wanted to be a financial advisor or stockbroker and figured that with my degree, people would be fighting over me.
“I’m so fortunate to be able to serve so many of you.”
When that didn’t happen, I looked in the newspaper and saw an ad for a real estate career night. Once I got into the business, I did poorly in my first year. I may have sold one home. It was so bad that I was emptying coins out of my piggy bank, getting dented cans at the market, and selling my coin and baseball card collections. Everyone said to quit, but fortunately, I was stubborn.
As the years passed, I started to grow my team and my client base. I couldn’t be happier with my business and I’m so fortunate to serve so many wonderful people like you.
If you or anyone you know is thinking about making a move or just has a real estate question that’s been bugging you, don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email. I would love to hear from you.
