What do broken clocks and some websites claiming to offer home values have in common?
You are probably wondering why I would take a hammer to a clock. Today, though, I am going to explain.
Many people go to websites such as the one that starts with a “Z” to look up home values. Then, they come to me and say that their home is worth a certain amount because a website told them.
“Even a broken clock is right twice a day.”
Well, you may have heard the old adage, “Even a broken clock is right twice a day.” This applies to those websites that purport to tell you what your home is worth.
These websites are often very far off. Some of them will even tell you how far off they are by having it posted on a page, if you can dig deep enough to find it.
My point, however, is that you don’t want to depend on these websites to tell you what a home is worth. They are completely inaccurate. Just like a broken clock, they are probably right twice a day, but they are wrong the rest of the time.
If you have any questions or would like to find out the value of your home, please feel free to call or send me an email. I look forward to speaking with you.
