If you’re a buyer, you need to be careful what you say out loud the next time you walk through a home that’s for sale—here’s why.
Did you know that some home sellers out there are installing video surveillance devices around their homes to gauge buyers’ feedback during showings? We Realtors are advised to instruct our seller clients to disclose this type of thing, but that doesn’t mean it always happens.
So, if you’re a buyer looking at a home that’s for sale, there are a couple of things you need to remember.
First, don’t do anything weird and embarrass yourself. Also, don’t say anything out loud that can be recorded and used as leverage by the seller during the negotiation process if you decide to buy the home (e.g., “This house is amazing—I’ll pay any price for it!”).
In the meantime, if you have any more questions about this topic or you’re thinking of buying or selling soon in the San Diego area, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’d love to speak with you.
