Foreclosure sales can lead to great deals, but it’s important to do your due diligence on any home you’re thinking about buying.
The owner of the foreclosed house saw me and asked us to come and take a look at his house. The house was absolutely beautiful on the outside and we were thinking about making an offer right then and there.
Then we went inside and it turns out that the house is essentially an empty shell. It had no kitchen, no bathrooms, and no drywall. It was pretty much just wood holding a house up.
The house was essentially an empty shell.
We almost made an offer on this house before we even saw the interior, but we’re very happy that that didn’t happen in the end. We would have lost at least $100,000 on the deal.
If you have any questions for me or you’re interested in buying or selling a home, don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Teaser: You can’t judge a book by its cover, and in real estate, the same goes for houses.
