As you probably know, our real estate market runs in cycles. Now that conditions have cooled from the super-hot activity we were seeing a few months back, discount brokerages have begun to come out of the woodwork.
Full-service brokerages are far more trustworthy and a far better deal than any discount brokerage out there.
This is a common occurrence whenever the market levels out, but it’s important not to be fooled by these discount brokerages’ claims. All too often, these brokerages operate on a “bait and switch” system. They’ll entice you with a deal that sounds too good to be true, only for you to later find out that it was.
Most of the time, the low fees they quote you when you first get in touch only account for a small portion of what you’ll actually be charged.
The bottom line is that full-service brokerages are far more trustworthy and a far better deal than any discount brokerage out there.
