Answer:
There are indeed some renovators/flippers who do work as you describe. There are others who are very thorough and do a great job.
If you want a nice remodeled house, but won’t buy one from a flipper, you’re going to miss out on at least half of the available homes.
Instead, I recommend being open to all flipped or otherwise remodeled homes. When you find one you like and get your offer accepted, have it thoroughly inspected and read all the disclosures.
Of course, that’s my advice for any home you buy
