This week’s story has to do with a case of mistaken identity. Here’s what happened.
Welcome back to another edition of “Story Time With Gary.” This particular story didn’t happen to me, but it did happen to an agent that I know.
This agent was with a client showing homes and pulled up to a house with a sign in the yard. She knocked on the front door and explained to the woman who answered that she was there to show the home. The woman stepped back, and the agent barged in and took the buyer in to show the home.
“The ‘For Sale’ sign was actually just a sign for a landscaping company.”
As they were leaving, the woman asked, “Why are you here again?” The agent answered, “I’m showing your home that’s for sale.” As she finished saying that, she saw that the sign in the yard was not a “For Sale” sign, but a sign for a landscaping company.
There are a few lessons to be learned here. First, signs work, even when you don’t want them to. Also, if you believe something enough, you can convince someone else to go along with it.
If you are thinking about buying or selling a home in San Diego anytime in the near future, don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
