I get this question a lot. With my Economics degree from UCLA, I know enough to know that I don’t know enough to answer that question with any confidence.

Sure, everyone’s got an opinion and is willing to share it. I hear things like:

– beach property will never go down
– buy at the edge of a city’s expansion
– cheap condos will always be in demand
– Imperial Beach &/or Oceanside are the sleeper areas
– buy single family houses as they’re preferred over condos
– downtown is the place to invest
– buy in a good, safe neighborhood
