Downtown
Downtown San Diego is sometimes called “Centre City” because its combination of big businesses and varied entertainment options make it the heart of San Diego. Although San Diego was established in the neighboring Old Town, the Downtown area grew rapidly due its beautiful and economically advantageous coastal environment. Major corporations such as AT&T, NBC, and Wells Fargo have buildings in this lively metropolitan area, and the nearby 5, 94, and 163 freeways ensure easy access from anywhere in San Diego.
