Bonsall
Bonsall is situated between Vista and Fallbrook, reached from the west by a bridge overlooking the remains of the old San Luis Rey River bridge. Named in 1890 for a local minister, the area is home to just over 4,000 people. The area is well known for its gentleman farmers with their citrus and avocado groves. The town is filled with local services from nurseries to restaurants.

What’s Cool About Bonsall
On the way to Fallbrook, there is the newer River Village Plaza with offices, restaurants, a grocery store and movie theatre. Bonsall has long been a favorite with the thoroughbred horse crowd as home to the San Luis Rey Downs Training Center. Nearby is also the SLR Downs Golf Course & Country Club. Long-time residents will remember the old sign that said, “Fallbook isn’t boring, it’s just too close to exciting Bonsall.”
