Fallbrook
At the north edge of San Diego, Fallbrook is mostly rolling hills with extensive avocado and citrus groves. Fallbrook is an unincorporated community and covers a large area of over 17 square miles. The “downtown” of Fallbrook is a cluster of stores, restaurants with a variety of home sites close by. Many of the homes are on acreage that includes avocados, citrus and many exotic varieties of trees that do well in the climate. Nearby communities include Temecula to the north in Riverside County with Bonsall and Escondido to the south. Smaller communities of Rainbow and Valley Center are to the east and on the west side of town there is access to the sprawling Camp Pendleton USMC Base.

What’s Cool About Fallbrook
On the way to Fallbrook, there is the newer River Village Plaza with offices, restaurants, a grocery store and movie theatre. Bonsall has long been a favorite with the thoroughbred horse crowd as home to the San Luis Rey Downs Training Center. Nearby is also the SLR Downs Golf Course & Country Club. Long-time residents will remember the old sign that said, “Fallbook isn’t boring, it’s just too close to exciting Bonsall.”
