La Jolla Farms is a tiny beachfront community at the northern end of La Jolla. This gorgeous 200-acre neighborhood is among the most coveted in all of San Diego. Its chic and spacious homes were developed in the 1970s and 80s. While the community is mostly residential, it’s also home to the Salk Institute, Torrey Pines Gliderport and Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa. This upscale area is worth every penny due to its unrivaled architecture and picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean.

What’s Cool About La Jolla Farms
La Jolla Farms is located west of the University of California San Diego, just above Black’s Beach and only a couple of minutes away from the 5 Interstate and County Highway S21. The more luxurious homes are found along La Jolla Farms Road and Blackgold Road, while the gated Blackhorse Farms complex offers some cheaper options. By Gary Kent
UCSD, the prestigious public university, runs right along the eastern edge of La Jolla Farms. There are several other schools not far away:

- Torrey Pines Elementary
Although La Jolla Farms is almost entirely residential, you’ll still find great restaurant options nearby, particularly in La Jolla Shores and La Jolla Village. Here are just a few:
