In south-central La Jolla lies a quaint and winding strip of homes known as La Jolla Mesa. This quiet neighborhood was originally built in the 1940s and is made up of two main roads: La Jolla Mesa Drive and Rutgers Road. La Jolla Mesa is well-manicured and filled with elegant architecture and plentiful gardens. The single-story neighborhood is one of the warmer spots in La Jolla due to receiving more sun and having a slightly warmer climate.
