Soledad Mountain
The Soledad Mountain area (also called Soledad South) is situated on the southern ridge of Mt. Soledad in the southeast corner of La Jolla. This primarily residential neighborhood contains the private communities of Mount La Jolla, Windemere La Jolla and Ridgegate, as well plenty of unaffiliated homes. Residences on the eastern side of Soledad Mountain Road, the area’s main thoroughfare, enjoy wonderful views of northern Clairemont and beyond.

There are three private schools right at the northern tip of Soledad Mountain: All Hallows Academy, the Evans School, and the bilingual San Diego French American School. There are also several other schools nearby.

While Soledad Mountain is almost completely residential, it does have an excellent restaurant in its shopping outlet: Turmeric Thai Kitchen central location means there are plenty of dining options nearby. For those willing to venture a bit further, Beach Barber and Pacific Beach offer many great choices.

Soledad Mountain is home to a small shopping outlet called Windemere Village Center, located near the entrance to the Windemere gated community. The miniature market there is a convenient alternative for shoppers who don’t feel like traveling outside the neighborhood.
Soledad Mountain isn’t too far from the high-end clothing boutiques, jewelry stores and art galleries of the Village. The La Jolla Farmer’s Market is also held there on Sundays at La Jolla Elementary. Cheaper, more casual options are also available in Pacific Beach to the south.
