Pacific Beach
Pacific Beach has an environment known for its warm and pleasant sunshine, so you will often see the locals wearing shorts, no matter the variation in weather. This is good, since there are over three miles of beaches from Tourmaline Beach in the north to the southern tip of Mission Beach. The general atmosphere within Pacific Beach is a very relaxed, slow paced one. Surfer lingo can be easily heard throughout the neighborhood, and it’s easy to get caught up in the laid-back ambiance. Though the population of PB has a large demographic of college students, it is recently becoming steadily more affluent. Pacific Beach homes range from beautiful properties overlooking the ocean, to new homes in Crown Point, to quaint bungalows in Central P.B. to high-density living in Mission Beach. Areas of Pacifica in North Pacific Beach boast a large number of mid-century modern homes designed by architect William Krisel.

What’s Cool About Pacific Beach
PB also boasts some of the most popular nightlife in San Diego, including numerous bars, cafes, and other eateries. It’s even home to the original Rubio’s, known for popularizing delicious, fresh fish tacos in California. The farmer’s market is another hub of Pacific Beach, a place where many gather for fresh produce and other foods at good prices. Along with the many restaurants and shops in the area near the beaches, there are also many parks. These include Belmont Park, a small Mission Beach amusement park, as well as Mission Bay, which contains beautiful scenery, areas for volleyball courts, outdoor workout structures, and playgrounds for children. SeaWorld, the famous aquatic theme park, also offers plenty of marine life for both children and adults to enjoy.
