What’s Cool About Imperial Beach
There’s no shortage of things to do. Residents can shop and dine along the business district on Palm Avenue, or try fishing from Imperial Beach Pier. Nearly four miles of shoreline means they can surf, swim and sunbathe to their hearts’ content. The stunning natural reserve of Border Field State Park is a perfect backdrop for runners, cyclists and equestrians. Another seven miles of beach that make up the Silver Strand lie just to the north.
Downtown San Diego (via the I-5), the border crossing to Mexico, and the chic attractions of Coronado are all close by. Those seeking a carefree coastal life would be hard-pressed to find a better community than Imperial Beach.
