Otay Mesa

Otay Mesa is a large suburban community that runs along the southern edge of San Diego County. It’s surrounded by an open space preserve to the east, San Ysidro to the west, Chula Vista to the north, and the Mexican border to the south. Most residences are located toward the west of the area, while the east is sparser and taken up largely by industrial and business parks.

What’s Cool About Otay Mesa

The neighborhood is home to Otay Mesa Port of Entry, one of two nearby border crossings that allow residents easy access to the excitement of Mexico. Concerts at Sleep Train Amphitheatre, the Aquatica waterpark, and the fishing and hiking of Otay Lake are close by to the north. Otay Mesa is worth considering for those who plan to make regular trips across the border, or at least don’t mind being a bit far removed from the rest of San Diego.
